Copyright all rights reserved iSiR UK XM-Scaler is probably the easiest way you will find to manage large numbers of images that you wish to upload to the web. You simply create a folder on your own PC and place your collection of images in it. You can have any number of folders and subfolders, supplier folders or department folders. Then when you’re ready to upload you can simply hit the ‘Upload’ button and your entire collection will be transferred to the web whilst retaining the same folder structure as you have on your PC. If you wish you could drill down into your local library and just select individual folders or individual images to upload. Every image that is transferred to the web will be automatically re-scaled to 5 different sizes of your choice. You can send literally 1000’s of images at the click of a button, all perfectly scaled, all padded out with white space to ensure an equal size and perfect for both, website use and in-store applications, such as, ticketing, hand-outs, iPads, Mobiles and many other In2Retail applications. As a subscriber to X-Margin, you would be offered very low cost webspace for your uploaded images and this can be used from any department within your store and is private to your company. Any number of key staff can install the XM-Scaler onto each of their PC’s Laptops and Notebooks and each control their own image library for their own respective departments. First of all, create a folder on your local PC. Install and fire up the XM-Scaler and log in the same as you do for X- Margin. The XM-Scaler directory tree will default to the installed directory folder, in order to point it to your own folder click the Edit button on the top menu bar and click through to your own folder. You can also set your required image sizes from the same screen. Then just click apply. From that point forward, XM-Scaler will always connect to your chosen folder. Place any number of images and sub folders manually into the automatically created Image_library folder found in the folder that you created.  These images will then become visible in the XM-Scaler. Double click the directory tree on the right to refresh the directory tree. Tick whichever images you would like to upload or simply use the buttons across the top to select all images. Then click the ‘Upload’ button and your images appear in the bottom righthand corner as they are re-scaled and uploaded. When your images have been uploaded you can view them by going into your X-Margin, Edit | Item maintenance | Edit items, just below where you select the range you will see a dropdown that defaults to Standard screen, change this to Image maintenance and click the View uploaded images  button. You can now switch between your private image library and the In2Retail shared image library. Drill down into your uploaded folders using the on screen folder tree until you see your images. Click an image then click on the paste button next to your X-Margin product descriptions and your image will be attached to that item. Repeat this for any number of items in the range and then be sure to click on Save changes. You can also attach an image to the range in the same way where you will see a range level image container just above the items on the same page in X-Margin. Typically this would be for an asperational roomset image.
